Novo Poder

Novo Poder is a Spotify rap playlist that brings together the diversity of Brazilian rap — trap, boom-bap and grime — under a single identity concept. To represent that plurality, we drew inspiration from the icons who paved the way for the genre in Brazil, like Racionais and Sabotage, building the concept of "echo": the idea that today's rap still resonates with the impact of the '90s. That translated into a gothic typeface and a visual dynamism that nods to the movement's roots. The project was developed for the "Decodificando Identidades" course at Aprender Design.
